Reading

The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer has definitely made my list of top ten favorite books. Ms. Orringer tells such a compelling story that I did not want to put it down. Her research of history and architecture creates a truly believable setting for such an unbelievable story. She balances the historical events of World War II  with stunning descriptions of places and a true understanding of human feelings and nature. I did not want this 600 page book to end.
What are you reading? What is your favorite book?

I couldn't agree more about the profound beauty of Orringer's writing.... even through the horror of history, love and truth shall overcome the dark and bitter haze of fear and hatred.

THE INVISIBLE BRIDGE also proves that a textural, and richly-described novel feeds the senses easily with a tale that moves us to our very core...

I couldn't put this book down, and have recommended it to so many people... Thank-you for re-affirming the power of modern literature, and the gift it offers...
