Ernest V

lamington [ˈlæmɪŋtən] -
a cube of sponge cake coated in chocolate and dried coconut
named after Baron Lamington, governor of Queensland

I think I have tasted quite possibly the best lamington I've ever tasted in my life and believe me I have tasted a few.  This washed down with the perfect cup of coffee and voila I have found myself the perfect little place to indulge in a weekend caffeine fix.
Ernest V in Elsternwick is a touch of the Middle East in Melbourne with gorgeous decor, you will see the most stunning tiles adorning the walls that have come all the way from Egypt.
And the nicest thing about this place, the service. The lovley Roz and her partner Salah will make you feel most welcome which always makes me want to go back for more.
I can taste the raspberry and coconut in my mouth as I write!
