My dearest friend Corin is my partner in crime, wing woman and the only person who can make me laugh until it hurts, even on the worst days. We have had an incredible friendship for over 10 years that has seen us criss cross the globe. Who could forget Paris?
Corin lives in Akita, Japan (the location of my yearly trips) with her husband and two adorable daughters Mia & Sasha and baby number 3 is due to arrive early next year. She also happens to be one of the most stylish mamas I know.

Spring Has Sprung

As my fingers hover over the keyboard and I think about what I'm going to write after quite an absence all that is swirling around in my head is how lovely it is to have the spring back in my step and the excitement to be back in the blogger world.

I had hit a bit of a wall the past months and with that came a complete mental block when it came to all things blog. That has passed, spring is in the air and I look forward to sharing all of my little happenings again.

I love this short film for J'Adore with Charlize Theron. Filmed at Versailles and just look at all that gorgeous Dior couture in the background. Swoon.

I love a good candle and this limited edition collection from Temperley London would make a lovely gift.

Right Royal Scent

Did you know that Westminster Abbey was filled with the favorite scents of Kate Middleton on her big day.

The Abbey and bathrooms were fragranced with Jo Malone candles, hand washes and lotions.

Orange Blossom, Grapefruit and Lime, Basil and Mandarin frangranced the air.

What a lovely touch and their guest will associate these scents with the wedding forever.

Eau Annick

I have been smitten with Annick Goutal Perfume for as long as I can remember. I first stumbled across these exquisite fragrances over ten years ago when I purchased Eau d'Hadrien for my mum for mothers day. Scent evokes so many memories and for me I remember all through my childhood no matter what my mother was doing she always smelt beautiful, I don't know anyone who wears fragrance as well as her. 

My perfume of choice from Ms Goutal is Mandragore, a mysterious and spellbinding citrus, with notes of peppermint, iris and star anise.

The romantic and feminine bottles look just lovely on your dresser.

On my to do list is to visit the Annick Goutal boutique on my next trip to Paris!

Love, Love Chloé

I have just purchased my second bottle of Love Chloé in a matter of months. I adore this ultra feminine fragrance with notes of lilac, wisteria, iris and powdery musk.

The smell reminds me of baby shampoo, which I happen to love!

The design of the bottle is also great, with a delicate gold chain attached to the lid so you never lose it in the bottom of your handbag!

Coco Loco

No one does a fragrance ad better than Chanel. Check out this very sexy video for Coco Mademoiselle starring Keira Knightley.

Clean

If you love that fresh just out of the shower smell you will adore CLEAN fragrances.

I use Warm Cotton everyday and it leaves me feeling well, clean!

Warm Cotton reminds me of freshly washed towels just out of the tumble dryer and as someone who loves the smell of fabric softener it's ideal.

Favorite

I've been a long time devotee of Penhaligon's, makers of classic English scents since 1870.

The packaging is exquisite and they only use the finest rare ingredients.

My favorite scent by far is Lavendula, with notes of Vanilla, Musk, Amber and of course Lavender. It is a crisp, fresh green scent which makes me feel like I've just stepped into an English garden.

Another one to try is Bluebell which also happens to be a celebrity favorite.

Gold Rush

One thing you will come to know is that I absolutely adore fragrance and jewelry. My budget allows more scent than bling.

 I seldom share my fragrance secrets but today I'm wearing 8 88 by Comme des Garçons and it smells so divine that I had to tell. Antoine Lie the creator of this fragrance wanted to capture the smell of gold. One of the key notes is safraline, a molecule derived from the most golden of spices, saffron. Add a dash of geranium, pepperwood and amber and you have yourself an alluring and evocative scent.

I must say whenever I wear 8 88 I receive many compliments.........usually from the gentleman kind!

Byredo

I adore Byredo fragrances, my favorite being Rose Noir so I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these fragranced candles from this Stockholm based perfumerie. Carrousel appeals to me with notes of orange, rhubarb,cardamon, fig, vetiver and amber. Sounds perfect for this wintery weather in the middle of summer!
